1871 Census - Jenkins
« on: Tuesday 12 July 11 09:12 BST (UK) »
Request another lookup for my difficult Jenkins family in 1871 Census.   I am trying to find the parents of David Jenkins, born about 1865 in Aberystwyth and his sister Catherine J. Jenkins, born about 1867 also in Aberystwyth.   In later censuses they were living with their uncle and aunt in Queen Street, Aberystwyth and David worked as a tailor.

Thanks, Dave

Hi again, thank you for the lookup, that looks like the family.   I can only assume that David Jenkins who appears on the 1881 census as a nephew of William and Catherine Jenkins (together with Catherine J. niece) must either be the child of another family member or visiting in 1871.   What a family!   I thought the Joneses were bad enough.   Moore Street was what is now Cambrian Street just down from Queen Street which appears to have been the family HQ.

Thanks again, Dave
