I have recently acquired a silver medallion dated 1867  it has an inscription of 'The 25yr anniversary celebrations of Coellner Dombauverein' and on the reverse wording Friedrich Wilhelm iv  Wilhelm.
I am curious as to where these medallions were made and who would have been given one of these medallions also are these silver or silver plated. They are also inscribed with the name W Kullrich on both sides .

I think the medal is to do with the Cathedral building society in Cologne (Zentral-Dombau-Verein zu Köln von 1842). Friedrich Wilhelm iv was its first patron.  There's an article about it on Wikipedia.
