Just to say that Anna Mary is Alexander's mother - I think and assume that Kay does too.

According to Alexander's birth cert she was Anna Mary Harrison

Then she becomes Mary for some children's baptisms.

Mary on her marriage to Simon Caulfield.

Hannah M in 1901 census

Anna Mary in 1911 indexes

Anna Mary on her marriage as Corfield to William Walsh.

Hi Mirf

No I am not the person who you are helping just another person trying to trace  the Hibbs family!

Hi Heywood,
Quote
1919 Anna Mary Corfield married William Walsh. Her father is named as Alexander Harrison.

As far as I am aware Anna Marys' parents were John Harrison b. 1826 Horncastle, Lincs  d. 1890 West Derby, Jane Harrison McNaught b. 1823 Castle Douglas, Scotland d. 1914 West Derby so I'm not sure about a remarriage.

I have Thomas Hibbs on '71/'81 Census, Alexander and William James on 1911 and nothing for Margaret Ann. The Hibbs family obviously didn't believe in registering births or filling in census forms!
Regards
Kay

Hello Kay,

Perhaps then that the Mary Hibbs/Caulfield or Corfield and Walsh marriages are not Mary - mother of Alexander.   :-\

However, 'Hannah May' Harrison, 36 yrs  is single and with her mother Jane and sister, Sarah Souter in West Derby in 1901 so it doesn't look like that is the right one either.
