is this your Stack family on the 1901 census ?

   Stack household - 1901

I would start the search with civil records, as an index to these can be searched online on the FamilySearch website.. very few parish records for Co. Clare are available online - see the Clare resources and links topic at the top of this board.

Going by the 1901 details John and Margaret would have married around 1887, and since they and all the children were born in Co. Clare, I'd say that's where the marriage is likely to be. A marriage cert will show father's names and occupation for John and Margaret and allow you to work a step further back..

If their ages are accurate then both of them should be included in Civil record.

Hi

John Stack was my great grandfather and their son Michael my grandfather who lived in Kilmoon. My father was also born in Kilmoon. He may have more information you require as most records were held at the parish church. What line are you looking at?

Doug

Hi Both,
John Stack was my gg grandfather through his son John Stack. Please can you contact me I would love you to hear any info you have on the stack or Coniry / McKinirey family.

I believe they have 8 children / 6 of which were still alive in the 1911 census.  I only have the names for 5 of them.

Thomas, Mary, Michael, John & Agnes.

I believe Johns father was Thomas & Margarets father was Pat?

Is Agnes a variant of Margaret?

Quite possible nice find Sinann thank you.  It could also be the missing child I didnt find.

The mother Margaret - seemed to be born as Coniry and then later appears as McKinirey

Quite possible - I had seen this one and not ruled it out but like you could not find the birth.

Have also looked through the Lisdoonvarna & Ballyvaughan baptism records on NLI and couldnt find John Stack born 1864.
