I am researching Luke Goodhead born 24 April 1868 in Birmingham, Warwickshire - I found an obscure reference to him being the father of Elijah Kendrick (my Great Grandfather) who was born illegitimately to Mary Kendrick in Dudley in 1894 (who did not name Luke as father on the BC). Luke appears to be in attendance at the baptism and gives the child his fathers name.

Luke was the son of Elijah Goodhead b 1831 in Nottingham and Margarey Hogobie (Margaret and Luke moved to Dudley soon after Elijah Goodhead died they ran the Railway Tavern in Dudley until just after the baby was born which was either just before or just after Margaret's death. Poor Luke lost the business and ended up frequenting workhouses in London (where there also seems to be a baptism for him).

Elijah was the son of Elijah Goodhead b 1799 in Nottingham and Catherine Fowkes.

Elijah was the son of Luke Goodhead b 1769 in Nottingham and Ann Smith.

Luke was the son of Samuel Goodhead b 1732 in London and Ann Wilford.

Samuel was the son of Ralph Goodhead b 1716 in Nottingham.

Ralph was the son of Harvey Goodhead b 1692 in Nottingham and Mary Brindsley.

Harvey was the son of Ralph Goodhead b 1670 in Nottingham and Ann Barton.

Ralph was the son of Ralph Goodhead b 1642 in Nottingham and Ann Spur.

And that is as far as I have got just the basic fathers line hope this is useful and any other info would be much appreciated x
