Thankyou PaulineJ and Greli. I of course meant Rev Eyre's 1827 Census of Blockley, which I have now found online. I found two Taplin families living in Blockley and Paxford. My x3 ggrandma was Hannah Taplin born 1800 in Paxford. These most likely were relatives. She had married Charles Rose and moved to Mickleton by 1827. Their son, Robert Rose, was born in 1827, and was buried the same year at Weston Subedge. This is another piece of the family history jigsaw.

The census was part of Reverend Eyre’s book Guide to Blockley 1827.
