Clarence Inn Windsor
« on: Sunday 31 July 11 18:03 BST (UK) »
Would anyone know about this Inn?  My ancestor Samuel John Havens Chapman was mentioned in the London Gazette in 1841 as "formerly of Clarence Inn, Windsor, Berks...Victualler."  Samuel married in Mdx in 1807 and worked there as a painter, Plumber, glazier etc., so it was an early time period at the Inn.

Fair bit of information there!

The pub was demolished in the 1960s to make way for the Ward Royal development.  There is a photograph on this page of the building before it was demolished - scroll down to find it.
