Can you tell us all you know and where you have found it?
E.g how do you know he had a daughter called Kate?
Have you found them on any censuses?

In 1861 John and Susanna and the younger two children, William and James are still at Northwood

No sign of Pascal, nor can I spot a marriage for him.

Hi

Pascal Alford is on the Crimea Medal roll for HMS Dauntless as an Ordinary Seaman (Ships No.273) where he qualified for the Sebastopol clasp. He must have joined the ship in late 1854, because he was not entitled to the Baltic Medal, and she sailed for the Black Sea in December 1854.

Out of interest there is also a Benjamin Alford, Carpenters Crew, who served on Dauntless in both the Baltic and the Black Sea - a possible relative?

Hi All,

http://www.terrys.org.uk/charts/a/alfor600.htm

It appears that John Alford was married twice - first to Elizabeth Pascall Atkey, Jan 27 1826 Northwood (children: Christian White Larkins, John, Pascal Atkey, and Sarah Atkey) and second - to Susannah Plumbly in Mar 1843 in Portsea (children: James and William).

Pascal (according to my research) was married to Louisa Ann Parsons. I believe they were married either in England, or on route to South Africa, as there is no record that I can find of their marriage in South Africa.

I have record of Kate Atkey Alford's Death, but nothing of her Birth, so I am again assuming that she was born in England before Pascal moved to South Africa.

He is on the nominal roll of 2nd Brabant's Horse, a colonial unit of the Boer War of 1899-1902.
SURNAME   GIVEN NAMES/INITIALS  RANK  NUMBER  UNIT
Alford                    Pascall Atkey           Sergeant    814        2nd Brabant's Horse

Number/ Name/ Rank/ Place, Date In/ Place, Date Out
 814 /Alford, Pascal Atkey/Sergt/Graaf R./9.12.99/Dis 15.10.00

This is all the information that I have on the family currently!

I hope this helps?

Someone has quite an extensive Tree for Pascal;
Children, all with Surname Alford;
Beatrice Baldwin-died 1883
KATE Atkey 1865-1926
Annie Pascall 1869-1944
Elizabeth Leonora 1871-1951
Irene Rootham 1873
Maud Marion 1874-1875
Pascall Atkey 1875-1940
Kinburn Moorcroft 1877-1964

Now they have Pascall Marrying Marianne BAXTER 12 April 1865, Queenstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa
From what I can see then the Child Beatrice may have another Mother?

KATE was born 03 Nov 1866, Sth Africa (oh my Birthday!), Died 31 Dec 1926

The Pascall/Atkey lines they have going back several generations

She appears as a 69yr old Widow of Independant means on the 1851 Census in Cowes, Hampshire , under C L White (also on 1861 census) and dies 1862
She is with Son in Law John Rootham in 1861;

Do you have a source for this information? I would love to find out if this is my Pascall. Maybe he remarried?
