Date Please

I think this is a picture of my 3 great grand aunts. If I could get a date on it I could identify who they are.

Fantastic! just what I was hoping for. My great grandmother  ( their sister) died in 1894 and it looks like they are all dressed in black and maybe in mourning? if I can date this to around then, it will mean I have a photo of them at that time. Thanks a million. Ann

1893-1897. Could be black but as it's not a colour photo it could be any dark colour.

Even if it's not a colour photo please always scan in colour. The tone of a photo is a dating clue, as are the outer edges of the backing so be sure to show the whole thing. Also the design on the back.

I am trying to track down the original photo as it was one of my cousins who gave me a copy, and that's all I have at the moment.

I also have two other photos of other members of the family, that are originals if you wouldn't mind having a look and dating them.

1st, 1902-1904. At least those are the dates the photographer was at that address. The style does fit.

2nd, I'd say early 1870s print or reprint of a subject wearing a slightly out-of-date style from the late 1860s. The back is slightly ambiguous so I'm not too sure of it. Jim may be able to get a bit closer.
