The records were kept by parish rather than church, so that's what you need to establish. Most of the town was covered by the parish of St. Mary's and the baptism records go back to the late 1700s. There appears to be marriage records back to about 1817 but the National Library only seems to have filmed back to about 1859.

The film numbers are : Pos. 4259, 4260

One of the films also contains records for other nearby parishes - Old Ross, Carnagh & Ballyanne/Cushinstown

Old Ross (Roman Catholic) Cushinstown Parish.
Carnagh Cushinstown Parish
Ballyanne Terrath Church , but would also be Cushinstown parish.

which website did you find this trade directory on ?

I think it's more likely to be 1931

I think it may be this one on the FromIreland Website :

 Trade directory - Wexford

I believe the 1831 is a typo... some of the same entries appear in my Thom's 1938 - e.g. the Mrs. Deegan, Grocer on John St.

Also some of the entries probably dont fit the 1830s - 'Central Garage, Priory street, New Ross, Motor Garages' & 'Whitney F. & G. Crane & Co., Photographers, Enniscorthy'
