Hi, I'm looking for information on a pair of GG Grandparents.

Peter Heffernan married Jane (Miller - I think) and I only have three of their children and am having difficulty finding anything else about this elusive couple.     Where they were born and when they came to Australia?  I was told they went to the Goldfields.

Their daughter Mary Ann Heffernan married William Quirk in 1889 in Victoria and had 9 children, I have them, but I can't find anything else about William Quirk apart from his death notice in Trove in The Melbourne Argus Monday 10 April 1944.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Marriage in Victoria Charles Michael QUIRK Born London  married Charlotte Jane Barlow in 1867 reg no 4489
they had a daughter Catherine in 1868 and she died two days later

If that Johanna Heffernan (now not sure if it is Heffernan or Heffernon) was born in Liverpool and died in Victoria it might give me a clue as to when they came to Australia.

Thanks again Jenn, my cousin has a framed brass plaque commemorating the death of Jane Heffernan (now I think of it, confirms the spelling) stating she died 12 May 1907 followed by a bible verse.  Very nice too!

Yes I think a good Irish Cathlic family ..... hehehehe!!!!

nothing to verify this  though on  the tree

maybe helpfull to you  but I am allways wary of public trees that have no documentation attached to verify  the findings
