Denbighshire Free Press obituary look up please
« on: Tuesday 16 August 11 13:47 BST (UK) »
If anyone is able to do a quick look up for an obituary in the Denbighsire Free Press at Ruthin Archives please I would be very grateful. I have a dilema of which death certificate to order and it would help immensely hopefully if there is an obituary. My Ggrandmother's sister was born Dorothy Roberts and she lived her life in Graigfechan, she was well known and was very popular with everybody in the village. But she was known to them as Dora Roberts. An article we have which includes a little bit of information on the lovable character names her as Dora. If I am able to find the obituary I am hoping it might mention where she is buried. She is not in Llanfair DC's Church with her parents. I have no idea when she died so it would be good to narrow down my search.
Kind Regards
Nerys

I think the Dora you are describing was my great grandmother on my Dads side. If it is she is buried with her parents in Llanfair DC but at the time of her death was known as Dora Jones

Hi,
I don't think my Dorothy Roberts (Dora) is your Great Grandmother as she was unmarried all her life. Thank you for your reply though.

I realise this is an old post, are you still looking for this information  :-\

If you are still needing a look up you have given us no idea of dates for Dorothy/Dora.  Her date/year of birth and when you are last aware she was still alive would help us to search for this information.

Thank you Rosie, we have managed to find more information on Dorothy Roberts (Dora) who was born in the Denbigh Asylum in 1894.
Thank you for your interest
