Germany - Alwine Bertha KROHN

Had 2 sons one being EDWARD HERMAN KILLINGTON
Cannot find any marriage or birth records for her......she was German husband was English

I know they came over during the war and both sons were 'british citizens' schooled both germany and here in UK.
I cannot read German so its been difficult to find her marriage and birth certs and i am new here so hope i have done this right

Just found this death record which gives D.O.B if it's the correct lady

Alwine Bertha Killington died June 1972 Enfield, Greater London.
D.O.B  2 August 1884.

Who was her husband and what was his job?

I can see a birth for an Edward Herman Killington in 1909 in Hackney (freebmd).
Have you found the family in 1911?
Does that say how long Alwine had been married?

I have come to a dead end on Alwine Bertha Killington AKA Bertha Joanna Killington nee Krohn i dont know when or where they would have married etc...:-(

 - if the Edward b. 1909 is yours, you should be able to find them on the 1911 census.
That should show you (if you pay for the full details) how long they were married, and what her husband's occupation was.  It may give her place of birth as something more detailed than just "Germany" if you're lucky.

His occupation is important because it will give you hints about how they might have met: if he was a sailor or soldier or had some occupation that involved travelling, it's more likely they met overseas.

well yes edward 1909 is mine however over here i checked marriage records from 1895through to 1914 and nothing... i just joined Genes Reunited but it seems theres different places i need to join??
