James McLeod D.25th Dec 1806
« on: Sunday 28 August 11 04:03 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any information on my 6xgreat grandad James McLeod, he died during the Stotfield distaster on 25th December 1806. There is a monument in Lossiemouth of everyone who died that day, he is listed on the 3rd boat and it says he is from Nairn. I know he married Margaret Edward and had at least two childern, James McLeod (1799-1871) and Jane McLeod (1802-1870).

Any help would be a great help,

Thanks!

I just found his married licence with Margaret Edward, his name is spelt as "McKLeod".
