1871 census for Staffordshire
« on: Thursday 05 May 05 00:36 BST (UK) »

I would be extremely grateful if someone could look up the following family for me. My Great Grandfather was called Absalom Millard, he was born about 1866 in Sedgley Staffordshire.  I know his mother was called Sarah but I do not know his fathers name. His mother remarried Samuel Harper in 1877 and the family moved to Lancashire. His sibling are
                                              Joseph Millard    (abt 1862)
                                              Mary J Millard      (abt 1864)
                                              Rebecca Millard   ( abt 1868)

                     Thankyou

                                     Lesley

Thanks to you all - Eli is her husband, I think he died just before her son Eli James was born. Both he and his brother Absalom are my great grandfathers. Absaloms daughter Annie married Eli's son also called Eli who are my grandparents.
This caused a lot of ill feeling in the family and therefore nobody seems to know anything.
         I am getting somewhere now!

                    Thank you very much
