I did not take my information from a CD.  It is from the Ballarat Hospital Admissions Register 1856-1913. Unfortunately I have no further information.

Ballarat Hospital 1856-1913
The full index contains the following fields: name; age; sex; residence; occupation; religion; admission date; discharge date; birth place; time in Victoria; and who recommended the admission. The full index is published on fiche.

Cheers
Cando

Hi Elizabeth
Thank you for your reply I appreciate it, but the Thomas married to Elizabeth Dowson is one of the sons of Peter Krygger who was born Belguim c1824/5.
And its this Peter that I have been trying to find out when he came to Australia.
If you want any info on Thomas siblings please let me know.
Again thank you
Mariona

Hi Mariona,
We are distant relatives it seems. My Great Grandfather was Parkin Krygger, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Dowson. I was just on the phone to my Grandmother Ellen and she was interested in knowing some information as she did not know her grandfather Thomas, only Elizabeth who Nan says was heavy set and intimidating. I have a photo of Thomas, Elizabeth and the children if you are interested and I'd love to know more. My Nan was of the impression that Peter's name was spelt with an "i" being Pieter. She had also mentioned once about a family theory that the family used to be German but either moved or changed something due to the war!?! I had tried to find out some of this info over 10 years ago but clearly didn't try hard enough. :)
I hope to hear from you,
CJ :)

Hi CJ
I did reply to your email but haven't heard back from you. Thought I would drop you a line in case you didn't receive it.
Please let me know if you are still interested in the Kryggers

Hi Mariona,
Sorry for my delayed reply, I've got a sick, teething bub and I haven't been online much. I'm definitely interested in knowing more about my ancestors! All going well, I'm hoping to get the photo done for you this week.
I also spoke with my Nan again and she mentioned that she thought that Krygger was at one point "De Krygger" possibly with one "g". Actually, she's pretty sure along that line of questioning.
Looking forward to hearing back from you,
CJ :)

Hope your baby settles down for you soon.

Do you have an exact word for word transcription of the entire family record?
(or an image file you can share)?
