Samuel Joseph Stewart was born 16th December 1887.

The Commonwealth Public Service List for 1904 has.

S. J. STEWART born 16th Dec 1887 as a meseenger at Charleville in the Post Master General's Office.  He was first
appointed on 14th Nov 1899.

Samuel Joseph Stewart enlisted in the Australian Army in 1915 his unit was the Australian Postal Corps.  Joseph's next of kin was his mother Mrs, H Stewart "Kepart" Russell St South Brisbane.

Arthur & Mary Kennedy Staines do have a headstone and inscription at the Toowong Cemetery but the inscription is difficult to read because of fading but I will send you some photos via PM.

Thank you for the 1905/1910 Electoral Rolls.

Nice to see the family together and their occupations. Perhaps Alexander went into plumbing for a change. Imagine he would have been a fatherly figure, as his father died in 1900

Alexander Edwin STEWART , buried in Charleville is their father & Helen STEWART's husband.

The marriage details

Ellen Kennedy married Alexander STEWART 9/2/1869 reg no 1869B /002596

Qld wedding certificates do have a lot of information on  them and it should detail Alexander Stewarts place of birth and his parents

I was just curious to find out Alexander's birthplace.

Checked the Queensland BMD for his death, but no parents recorded. No recorded details of his marriage, either.
