Hi Mick

Do you have any more information on John?  Do you know what his childrens names were, or when he died, or if he emigrated from Scotland.
I have looked on the net and the only John Winkle born 1830 in Ireland emigrated to the US.  He was a coal miner and lived with his family in
Pennsylvania and I have found him with lots of other immigrants from Germany, Bavaria and Wales as well as from Ireland.
Do you know if this is your John??  Let us know and we can see if
there is any other information.  Is there anythng specific?
