COMPLETED: Charles Williams born in 1831 in Bittswell

Charles Williams born in 1831 in Bittswell, Leicestershire is my 3x great grandfather.  My 3 x great grandmother is his wife Elizabeth Freer. I found the family with my 2x great grandmother with them in 1861. Elizabeth died in 1862.

In 1871 all 3 children are with Elizabeth’s family members and so I went looking for Charles to see what had happened to him.

I thought I’d found him remarried to Mary with more children, but now I’ve found two Charles Williams born in Bittswell 1831/6. One with Elizabeth and one with Mary. Charles and Mary have a child born in 1858.

I am very confused and think I have put quite a few people on my Ancestry tree that shouldn’t be there.

I’m hoping some kind person with access to more records than me can help me solve this problem.

I have just found a marriage between Charles William and Mary Bannister in 1856 so I am now sure there are 2 Charles'.

If only I could find out what happened to my Charles. A census or a death after 1861 would be wonderful.

I think I found my Charles. He died in 1864. That explains why the children were with reletives.
