Tribalpages are restricting free sites to 500 names. It is not very costly to have a paid site though.

This post from the Tribal Pages forum explains what is happening:

1. We are not changing our policy for any existing sites. If you have a free site today and you have more than 1,000 names, they will remain, and you can continue to grow your site.


2. We will likely offer that 50% discount to those targeted customers over the next month. We will be far more careful to be clear that it is simply an offer for a discounted membership and that they are welcome to turn it down without any change to their account.


3. We WILL be placing this limit on all NEW Free sites starting immediately. While we had planned to implement this Oct 1, it makes sense to put it in place now, given that this is now generally known.
