Marriage for Christian/Evans
« on: Sunday 02 October 11 10:01 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace a marriage between William Christian (b. 1870, Isle of Man) and Mary Evans from Cardiganshire.  The marriage would have been around 1906, possibly in Aberystwyth or Glamorganshire.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Fiona

Can't find a marriage on FreeBMD - so maybe it took place on the Isle of Man?
(FreebMD only covers England & Wales)

William is almost certainly this one in 1901:

Hi, thanks for the reply.  I don't think the marriage would have taken place on the Isle of Man, as he left the Island before this date.  I haven't been able to trace a marriage for them in Wales either, but I will continue the search in case they got married elsewhere.  Thanks again.

If you can find him in 1911. it should help by telling how long they had been married, and POB  for any children may also give a clue.

I can`t find a match. ???

Hello again,

I found him in the 1911, looks like about 1906 for a marriage, but I'm not sure that they did actually get married, as he had a wife still living at that time.  I just wanted to check, but I haven't been able to find an marriage for them.  Thanks for the help.
