Record of death of Edward MILKINS
« on: Tuesday 04 October 11 02:52 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find a record of the death of Edward Milkins. Edward was a ticket-of-leave convict who arrived at Moreton Bay on the Bangalore, 1850. Any info on any aspect of his life would be appreciated. Many thanks, arliene.

This woman was perhaps his daughter too. Her death.

In 1920/C1610 Mary Anderson
Father Edward Milkins
Mother Margaret McGrath

She married

In 1880 REG C201 Milkins Mary
To Anderson Edward James

Perhaps a brother and sister  married a brother and sister ;D

In 1875 REG C1012 Anderson Elizabeth Jane
To Milkins   James

JAMES and ELIZABETH had a number of children.

Hi there,

There are two transcriptions at family search for marriage of Edward Milkins with Margaret Hagen both are giving the date as 6 October 1855, and both show this was at DRAYTON NSW.

There are some 3,106 marriages transcribed at their reference M00593-0 and 3108 at their ref  M01063-5

Cheers,  JM  (Off to see if I can find him on any of the early NSW electoral rolls !)
Edit to add .... Sorry, he is not listed in the Mudgee Roll for 1870.

EDIT TO ADD, later posts show that the marriage was at Drayton, Queensland

Ummm,  I thought Drayton was in NSW with a post code of 2849, ie near Mudgee 2850 ... oh well, I can be sooo NSW centric, sorry for my confusion.  I should remember NOT to rely on my memory  ;D

Cheers,  JM
