Translation help, please. COMPLETED, THANKS.
« on: Saturday 08 October 11 12:49 BST (UK) »
Hi

If anyone has a few minutes, I would be most grateful for a translation of the following.

Reviewing some photographs from last year, I have just noticed the word 'mam' on the dedication on the gravestone of this lady. She is buried with her husband who pre-deceased her.  I had always believed them to be childless.

Hefyd Anne
Pridd yr uchod a mam anwyll ei phlant
A fu fawr Mai 11 1974
In 85 mylwydd oed
Yr hyn a allodd hon hi a'i gwnaeth

Thank you  :)

Hi Bronnie,
This is what it says:

Also Anne
Spouse of the above and dear Mother to their children
Died May 11th 1974
Aged 85 years.
If she was able to,she did it.

The last bit sounds better in Welsh but literally means what I've said!

Now looks as if you have to look for children!

Wharton and Ford-Barnard Castle to London
