O'Neill/Hayden

In trying to locate my gt grandmothers parents, I now have information on her sister May O'Neill married to Larry Hayden in 1924. During the 1950/60's they were living in Arklow, Co Wicklow and had four children. I have no dates but May (as the younger sister to my gt grandmother) was born after 1888.
Her brother Joseph O'Neill married Ellen Lyons in 1926, died 1931 (Wicklow)
Brother John (Jack) married Mary Ann (Nan?) and died in London
I am trying to establish a place of birth for Margaret, Mary (May), Jack and Joseph O'Neill in an attempt to find a baptism which may lead me to finding their fathers name

Through information received I now know that the O'Neills mother was called Ellen O'Neill, Wicklow... but still unable to find births so still looking for their father

it sounds like the place to start would be with one of the marriages.. as that would give you the father's name and occupation - e.g. May O'Neill to Larry Hayden.

Do you have years of birth for Margaret etc ?

I would search for birth certs rather that baptisms, as these usually show more details and the index is free to search on FamilySearch

Hi Shane, thanks for your quick reply. We are in the middle of applying for marriage certs, however we have been informed that there is no father (this has come from another person doing same name research and as yet have not offered up info as to how they know this?)
I cannot find a birth record for any of them anywhere, Margaret had great trouble when trying to get her pension, I was told she had to rely on her baptism lines as proof of birth. I have Margaret born circa 1888, Wexford from the info on the 1911 census, where she appears with my gt grandfather John Lyons and my grandmother Ellen

To search for parish records in the National Library (i.e. baptisms) you would need to know which parish the family lived.

I believe RootsIreland/IFHF plan to add records for Co. Wexford sometime later this year. Not sure which details they are going to add, but think RC baptisms might be first on the list..

This is the info we are trying to find out. All my gt grandmother Margaret's paperwork and 'photos were burnt after her death and she never mentioned her parents. I have tried to search for her marriage but the one I have a cert for is not her.
