I am also a relative out of Major William Henry Sr. born 1715.  I have been able to run down his parents as being  Alexander Patrick Henry (1681-1735) and  Jean Jane Robertson Henry (1684-1735)  Hope this helps. He was my 8th Great Grandfather, his son John Thomas was my 7th great grandfather.

sorry, gave you stepmoms name. Mom's name was Sarah Shelton Henry. Only found her in one place listed as being Alexander's first wife, no other info was available.

I don't believe those could be his parents because Jean would have been 41 when he was born. If the report of his leaving for America because he did not like his dad's 2nd wife is true, then Jean (if she was his mother) would have died before 1733 (she died 1735) when he came to America. If Jean was the 2nd wife of Williams father and they had children together, those children were born AFTER 1715 (when William was born) and she likely would not have had the amount of children between the 2 of them after the age of 41.
