A very comprehensive tree on Ance* has the following but needs to be carefully checked out.

Jonathan Fletcher
1763–1809
BIRTH 9 JAN 1763 • Marshfield, Gloucestershire-Carpenter

DEATH FEB 21 1809 • Eastington, Gloucestershire, England.

I know that 1809 is prior to the baptism of last child James but it could have been a late baptism or a child out of wedlock!

I just saw that Marshfield and East Knoyle are abt 35 miles apart so I think one possibly is not correct birth place ?

Regarding looking for a marriage between Tempest Fletcher, aged 40 on the 1841 census and Jane nee Massey aged 25.

Up until the UK Marriage Act 1929, prior to the Act you could marry at the age of 12 if you were female and 14 if you were a male.

Just wondering about Henrietta aged 11 on the 1841 census.

My x Grandmother married in Meysey Hampton Gloucestershire in 1824 aged 14 and had her first child within a year.
