In UK English  modiste usually has 'e' on the end, following the French, but is it ever used now?

In my first reply, I automatically wrote Modiste but then went back and changed it when I looked again at the image.

But I am fairly sure that's what it says and it is US English rather than UK, so maybe it never had an 'e' on the end in America? ???
