Susannah DYKE
« on: Saturday 22 October 11 01:30 BST (UK) »
Hi...
I was wondering if some kind soul could do a search for a marriage of Susannah or Sarah DYKE.
The only records I have are that they may be twins as both were christened on the same day January 25 1792 at All Saints, Worcester.  Parents names were Edward and Mary DYKE....they also had a son Edward DYKE  C:1790, all saints.
Thank you for any help you can give...mush appreciated
Cheers
Dave.....BC Canada

Hi Dave

I have found the same info as you... But nothing for a marriage for Susannah. Hope the following gives you a lead of some sort.

IGI & Family Search:
24 Aug 1815, Sarah Dike, s. & James Fox (w. possibly, one entry says yes another doesn't quote.), Claines, Worcester, mar.
30 Mar 1818, Sarah Dyke, s. & Thomas Potter, w. Worcester, mar.

8 Oct 1789, Thomas Potter, b. (Bap. 26 Dec 1789), Kidderminster. Parents John Potter & Mary.
8 Aug 1790, Jame Fox, bap. Powick, Worc. Parents James Fox & Joyce.

Regards
Geoff

Thank you, thank you,  very much appreciate the look ups......My apology for not getting back to you sooner...I spent most of the day researching the census for 1841, '51 and '61 to see if they were there but really hard to tell with so little information.
I may just have to write them off for the time being...a couple of question tho...
Behind Sarah Dike's name you have an s.  that mean spinster?
James Fox's name you have a w.  meaning?
It's odd that you would find them on IGI and Family Search and that's what I used and could find Sarah's information.
Thanks again Geoff
Much appreciated
Dave
