Hi
Just followed up your suggestion of Genes Reunited, and found someone who had Emily's will, which gives her name as Emily Keat Gammons - so problem solved!
Thanks for reminding me of GR!
Helen

Interesting ... Henry Joseph Green, who had a grocer's shop at Cople in 1911, was my grandmother's cousin.  My grandfather was his assistant in 1911 and I assume that's how my grandparents met.

Of course, it may not be the same man.  I know of no connection to the Gammons family.

... except that Henry Joseph Green married an Alice M. Gammons in 1912.

I would expect that my Henry Green would have been brought up as a Strict Baptist, and, assuming he stayed as such, would have married a Strict Baptist.  Any known non-conformity amongst the Gammons?

Hi StevenG
Sorry didn't see your post until I was sorting out old rootschat posts! >:(
Henry Joseph Green married into my family by marrying Alice Maud Gammons.  Alice Maud,  Thomas Charles and my grandmother Rose were all siblings, children of John Gammons the station master of Cardington.
From what the older members of my family have said the siblings (11 in all that I know of, with two sets of twins!) were all quite chummy so it is no surprise to have your cousin turning up on the probate. Unfortunately I don't know if any were Non-Conformist as my branch were definitely C of E.
