help please finding lost HOROBIN

I loose track of Harry Horobin after the 1891 census in Kendal,  Lancs. Any help following him further would be appreciated.

Harry Horobin, born Q3/1861 Macclesfield, parents Joseph Horobin and Margaret
1871 Census with his parents in Stockton (RG10/4902/96/19)
1881 mis-entered as Henry Harobin at Ashgill, Agglethorpe as a Groom. His brother William Horobin (correctly entered) born 1867 is on the same entry (RG11/4873/58/4)
1891 a lodger at 5 High Park Cottage, Kendal (RG12/4333/136/1)
after that I have no trace -

any help appreciated

I havent seen that - it must be mistranscribed as it doesnt come up on an ancestry search - and I cant see how to search ancestry using the ref no - can you give me more detail pls.

1901 • Crown Hotel, Everleigh, Wiltshire, England
Occupation–groom–is correct. Surname transcribed as HAWTIN (poor writing) but place of birth listed as Stockton on Tees. Siblings and half-siblings born after 1867 were indeed born in Stockton, but Harry was born 31 July 1861 • Hurdsfield, Macclesfield, Cheshire, England. His birth was registered in Macclesfield. GRO Reference:1861 S Q in Macclesfield. Vol 08A p116/Bousfield, UKBMD Reference: born East Macclesfield, records at Cheshire East, Reference Nr. EMC/21/67. The 1871, 1881 and 1891 censuses also have Macclesfield. So why Stockton-on-Tees?

I know he would have been 53 when WW1 started - but as a Groom - he may well have volunteered as there were 6 Million Horses involved in WW1- there is a H Horobin who died 1917 in Belgium - no age given - but he was with the 78th Canadian Infantry - so probably not yours - but possibly try and get more info to confirm he isn't yours ??...I will see if I can find an age for the H Horobin who died 30th October 1917

Great to see this come back to life after 9 years. I haven't looked for this in some time. I am quite happy that the 1901 reference is correct. The census return would have been completed by the hotel keeper who knew that harry came from Stockton, but not necessarily knew he wasnt born there.

He was in Cheshire as a stud groom in 1911, still unmarried.
Class: RG14; Piece: 21835, Cliff Bank, Malpas, Cheshire. Born 'Yorkshire, Parish not known'. Probabl;y same reason as above.
