Hi Morgan
I spent the day down at the GRO on Wednesday; managed to get some info from the Registers of the Glamorgan County Constabulary but there were those ****** restictions on Personal Files which prevented retrieving other details.  Made a start on the Clinch brothers but need another visit.  I don't know if you have experienced the Registers but they are great big heavy books; containing basic details such as date of birth, birthplace, height, colour of hair and eyes, date of joining etc and the information I was after the date and stations served at.  All good stuff to help build a picture but as I said other info held back due to rules and regs.
Regards, Roy

Hi Clareeee
I appreciate your kind offer, I already have a copy of the Clinch family photo; my wife is related to the Clinch's and know Vince & Margaret well.  I'm trying to learn more of the police careers of the brothers and the records at GRO have been a great help.

Regards, Roy

Hello everyone
This is Marvin Clinch in Durhamville, NY. We are very interested in tracing our families roots back to England. My family of 7 grew up in Stockbridge, and I would be glad pass on any information. My grandfather was Richard Clinch, who had a brother Charles who was a minister. I was told 4 brothers traveled here from Kent, England. Hope to hear from a distant relative soon.
