Unbelievable, thank you so much Nanny Jan! I didn't expect so much so soon. Are there any pictures/photographs? which church played a roll in marriage/deaths?
Thank you once again.
Duddles

You may strike lucky with photos if you can find a relative who has posted a family tree on Ancestry.com - you don't have to be a subscriber to search their records, I believe.

Photos were expensive 150 years ago, so they weren't included in record keeping.  You should also get in touch with the elders in your family, who may have some photos that you may not have seen.

Best Wishes,  Nick.

Hi,

You will need to buy a copy of any marriage certificate to find out where the marriage took place; it could be church, chapel or Register Office.

You might find others researching this family who could have photographs; sites to try are Lost Cousins, Genes Reunited or Ancestry.

These are the details you need to order a copy of Thomas jnr's marriage certificate:

Thomas Dudley   SepQ 1853   Manchester   8d   561

They can be ordered online and cost £9.25

I understand your excitement  :)

I find that having photos adds to the interest factor, and it's a tragedy that so many get thrown away when people die.

Good luck with your research  :)
