I believe it is only the Motherwell poorhouse records as they are the only ones which survived for the new boundry area of Lanarkshire, The remaining area's of the old Lanarkshire ie Govan, remain in the Mitchel Library.

As far as I was lead to believe, NLC were given all the surviving poor relief records pertaining to the (North) county. This should include Dalziel, Cambusnethan and Shotts and the little there is for New Monkland.
The rest should have gone to South Lanarkshire Council archives. Not sure if Glasgow has retained Cadder and I don't know what has happened to Bothwell, as it covers place in both areas now.

Glasgow should now only have Barony, City and Govan.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.

The North Lanarkshire Council Archives currently based at Lenziemill in Cumbernauld  is moving to Motherwell Heritage Centre on 1 High Road Motherwell. Records well be held down stairs where once. To view any Archive records well be viewed up stairs. In Family and Local Studies Room.

Poorlaw and over records which where held at Mitchell Library for the North Lanarkshire area where moved to Lenziemill in Cumbernauld. In last couple of years over records for over parts of Lanarkshire and the old Strathclyde area are still at Mitchell unless Local Council have asked for them.

Old Records for Cumberlauld, New & Old Monkland, Bothwell, Dalziel, Cambusnethan, Shotts District's
are held by NLC There is List of the records Think Mitchell still have a copy of it. It was A4 binder quiet thick with list of all records of Lanarkshire.
Plus Think they have given them Database to Poorlaw if not it still at Mitchell Library.

Motherwell Heritage Centre opening hours Wed to Sat 10am to 5 pm

As far as I am lead to believe, the database for the Lanarkshire poor relief is staying with the City Archives at the Mitchell. This database was complied by a dedicated team of volunteers (Des Ga**ity and the late Jim Wallace were the backbone of that labour of love) so Glasgow want to keep it, the argument being that it is not an historical document!
This means that the poor relief volumes now in the hands of North & South Lanarkshire archives are not externally indexed, an absolutely ludicrous situation.
