Nanny Jan found the marriage of William Frankham to Charity Smith in reply #5

That appears to be Bessie's parents based on the info you have given. And the marriage was after 1901 census.

There are a surprisingly large number of Charity Smiths in 1901 census.
It would be worth you looking for the family in 1911, to see a) how old William and Charity are, b) where they were born, and c) to see if Bessie is there and therefore to get more detials about her.

Given that you think Charity Smith had been married before, you may need to get the marriage cert to find her father's name.

I must say I can't easily find a birth registration for her.

Both Frankham and Smith are names with links to travelling people - is this likely to be a factor in Bessie's family, so far as you know?

If so there may be additional challenges in your research - travelling people could more easily be missed by a census enumerator than settled people, and also are sometimes listed by the maternal surname rather than the paternal (or use both names interchangeably).  Registration of births sometimes was not a priority, too.
