My pleasure Sandra. I looked and looked at that name trying to decide what it was. Now I know. Would love to know if you made any sense of the unmarried deaf and dumb son in law? I have noticed that quite often they use the term son/dau in law when they should say step son/dau but given the age of the other children this doesnt fit either unless the Flatmans are Eastmans children and John Buckingham  is Franceses son from a previous marriage and this is a second marriage for them.  All I can come up with. Anyway Sandran Glad it is the right family.

Its funny you should mention 2nd marriages as I have the wife  as a Harriet Moore in my records she is the mother of the george/charles although only 1 of them is showing on the 1861 census, I will look into it, maybe he did remarry ..I will do some research into Buckingham...

Theres always something cropping up to keep you busy isnt there..

Thanks again
Sandra :) :)

What I think I will have to do is try and get hold of the 1851 census that would tell me, as Ive just had a quick look and theres a Harriet Flatman died 1856 in that area.
That would fit..I will have to take a trip to Lowestoft Suffolk Records Office..

Sandra

Glad to help.

I wondered if Harriet might have died due to complications with her last child Hannah. I doubt the burial record would confirm this, but the death certificate almost certainly would.

In any event, it was certainly tragic to die so young.
