Sorry, can't message you - you need to make at least 3 posts for that to be possible. Can you make 2 other posts about other parts of your family and then could you personal message me your email address?

Jack

Hello,
I wonder if you might be able to help me.  I am looking for information about my 3 x gt grandmother Margaret Harry.
The first details I have are for her marriage in Barnstaple in 1805 so I estimated that she was probably born around 1780 -85.  Most of the results for Margaret Harry come up with results in Cornwall so I wonder if she was from over the border.  I am not sure how to progress as I would need some idea of parish to check birth records.  Any ideas?

Thanks

KateW

Hello

I  already have a post of Rootschat regarding the Harry Family, but I am looking for more information on John Barnes Harry and his wife Mercy/Mary Burrell Ivey. They went to Victoria Australia in the 1850s to the Fiery Creek Gold fields, their daughter Jane Barnes Harry was born there in 1855.  The information I am looking for is to do with Cornwall and their families.  Also the Mercy/Mary name not sure what it is suppose to be, on the  Cornwall marriage records the name is Mary, but on Jane Barnes birth certificate it looks like Mercy!
Thanks
Regards

There have been several ships named Nautilus. But if it was Royal Navy, the one in 1840 was a 10 gun Cherokee-class brig sloop. Launched in 1830 and scrapped in 1878.

If you Google 'HMS Beagle', the ship Darwin sailed on, that was exactly the same, so you can see what it would have looked like. Or click this link, loads of pics.
