This look like it could be the family of James on the 1901 return. No sign of him, but his brother Abner E. is listed with the right age and denomination. This return states he was born in Queen's County (Laois). Parts of Carlow town are in Co. Laois

   Connor household - Co. Cork

Thanks, I have checked my research and this is definately the right family. Looks like I shall have to invest in the purchase of a certificate from the GRO to get at Sophia's maiden name!

Many thanks for your help.

Tony

I'm not seeing any good matches for the marriage of James and Eleanor at the moment .. also haven't found any sign of her on 1901 return...

Knowing her maiden name should make the marriage search easier

This looks like the marriage of James Connor's parents !

I have never heard the name Abner before but saw this with the name in Carlow in 1803 !!

Also never heard the name Proudman before but just saw that it's an anglicised version of Dempsey !

Jane Elizabeth Graham got remarried to an Isaac Wilde - This is them in 1901 (one of Eleanor's brothers is in the house too !)
