Thanks for all your digging, all the facts you have unearthed are correct.
Kathleen does say on a census that she was born in London, but I do not think this is correct.
No birth record for her in England, my sister who is a lot older than me remembers that she had a very strong Irish accent,
and is convinced she was from Ireland.
I cannot find any record for her father Timothy Morooney in England, so I am wondering if he emmigrated elsewhere from Ireland.
Realistically I am looking for anyone who has a Timothy Morooney in their family history, who was a Hatmakers Engineer, an unusual profession.
The surname spelt as MOROONEY is not common, mostly spelt as Moroney & Morony, only a few around Islington / London, in her lifetime.
Quite a complex story, she was widowed in 1918, my grandfather being killed in action in France, she was left to bring up four boys on her own.
I have managed to unravel some background for my own surname of Healy, but know nothing about her.
Any ideas of tracking down her father might help greatly.

Regards to all
Tim Healy.

It's not just one census that gives her birthplace as London - the 1901 and 1911 both do

Who were the witnesses at the marriage?

Was her husband  Irish? Often people from the same area in Ireland married in England.

One witness is illegible on their wedding Cert ( Aug 1899 ), the other is my grandfathers brother in law, John Henry.(Irish)
My grandfather was born in London, either Southwark or Islington (no record).
My great grandparents were from Kerry ( Castleisland for my Grt Grandmother, Kenmare / Killarney area for my Grt Grandfather )

* It states on the wedding Cert that Timothy Morooney is deceased.
