What sort of information are you looking for?

Civil registration of births started in 1864- birth certificates for any of the children born after that date should list names of both parents. Did find this extracted birth record but not sure if it's the correct family-
Michael Mcgowan born 10 April 1870 Carney Co. Sligo (registration district?), parents- Michael McGowan and Anne Kilcoyne

See www.familysearch.org to search further.

Your Michael McGowan was born 10 April 1870 (according to birth registration) and baptised four days later (14 Apr.1870 according to the baptismal date you posted) so there's nothing strange about his date. Babies were usually christened soon after birth. However, I notice LDS site also lists Michael's christening record with a birthdate as 1 April- not uncommon to find such mistakes in church records.

From the LDS site it looks as though John was baptised the same day he was born.
