Well Sue,there is an Alma Edwards given as a passenger on the Dorunda who  arrived in Brisbane 05/08/1890 and whose Place of Origin is given as Caernarfon Wales.You will have seen earlier in this thread where I gave Alma Maria's birthplace and parents as per Census entries.

I looked in the Australia Death Index for an Alma(no surname) with parents John and Jane.I've found the death of an Alma Maria Ponting in 1948 in Queensland with parents given as John Morris Jones and Jane.It seems Alma Maria married again to someone with the surname Ponting.

Looks like Maria did remarry Albert Henry PONTING at some point in time.

Also something to keep in mind is that sometimes mmn's can be wrong, so if everything else fits, don't dismiss a death due to this alone as informant may not be correct.

And remembering that

The article shows her son to be ROBERT FAULK

Then perhaps the child named named ROLAND is to a different couple of the same names! As ROLAND appears to be the father's name for one ALMA as listed above!
