Can you tell us what was his connection to Bedfordshire as you have posted on the Bedfordshire board

Was he born there?

Looks like the right one according to this freebmd entry

Births June qtr 1899
Henry Albert Edgar   Cockermouth  10b 652

The 1911 shows a Henry Edgar aged 13 living in Whitehaven - have you viewed that entry to get details of his parents and siblings?

His marriage to Elsie M Chorley is on freebmd in 1947

Quote
he had live in Jersey as his father came from there

There is a 1901 entry aged 3 b Moresby Cumberland but Moresby was in the Whitehaven Registration district - not Cockermouth and the entry shows the father was not born in Jersey

Hi

Just a cautionary note.  Being "from" Jersey does not necessarily mean he was actually born there.

He may have been brought up in Jersey or lived there as an adult but been born elsewhere

I think you need to buy a copy of that 1947 marriage cert to establish his fathers name.

Alternatively - if you are sure the 1899 birth I posted above is correct - a copy of his birth cert will give you you both parents name and his mothers maiden name
