Hi I am trying to find any information about gwendoline butters born 27 june 1917 in gillingham in kent and believed married in 1945 in chatham in kent with new surname possibly being read or Reid, i cant find any record of death so i suppose she could be still alive, any suggestions welcome. thanks

                   Thanks for your response, I have a copy of birth certificate showing birth date but birth not registered until 1918 so doesn't match some web entries I have seen due to this. I would be very gratefull if you could post the list of deaths for me.

                   thanks very much for the information it has helped me to thin the field down a lot but unfortunately no nearer to resolution. I wonder do you know there is any way I can search to look if she had any children, going backwards in time seems easier in some ways than going forwards!

Is she the birth registered September qtr 1918 parents James Butters and Gladys M W Weeks?

They married in 1914 so it's strange that if she was born in 1917 - her birth wasn't registered until so long afterwards.  Freebmd shows her without any middle christian name on both her birth and marriage reg

What is her actual date of birth as that is information needed when looking for a death

Hi Carole,
               Yes she is the birth registered September quarter 1918 but the date on the certificate for birth is 27 June 1917. James butters naval record shows him to be at sea throughout this time so maybe this caused the delay, or whats the chance of an error? And there is no middle christian name listed.
