Thorney marriage look up? ::Completed::
« on: Monday 12 December 11 06:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,

Was wondering if any kind person out there would be able to look up a marriage for me in Thorney?

It's John Scrimshaw or Johannes Scrimpshaw marrying Elizabeth Pope or Elisabetham Pope 19 Feb 1717. If it's there, could you please let me know exactly what the entry says.

Wondering if this couple is the same John & Elizabeth Scrimshaw who started having children in Leverington in 1709. Many people have this as the case in their trees on ancestry.com but I'm a bit more wary of making the assumption!

Many thanks,
Liz.

Thank you so very much, it is greatly appreciated.

It seems like it could be them. But why get married seven years after the first child was born?
