Arthur Dawson Roberts,Wales-New Jersey

My relative Arthur Dawson Roberts was born in Rhosymedre Denbiighshire North Wales in 1888.In the 1930 Census he is in Perth Amboy,Middlesex New Jersey with a wife Lucy E given as born in England in c 1893.Arthur Dawson is given as registering for the US forces in both World Wars.Can anyone tell me who the Lucy E was please?

No help but just a couple of observations.
The WW1 record says Arthur is single so married after 1917. His year of immigration 1910.

 Lucy is 37 in 1930 and says married at age 25 so married 1918/19.  Arthur says he was 29 when married and with a birthdate of 1888 married 1917/18.

The 1930 census says his wife Lucy was born in New Jersey (there is no year of immigration for her) but her parents were born in England so we may take it that she and Arthur were married in New Jersey.

Also in the household is a William Carriste recorded as son, nationality Italian both parents born in Italy! He immigrated in 1910.

Arthur is on the 1920 census, as a Boarder, but married.

Lucy E. Roberts, age 27, married, is living with her parents: George Cahilan(?) and Lucy E.

Your Lucy was a Teacher, Public School.  Her father was a Model Maker, Terra Cotta.  Her parents were born in England; she and her siblings were born in New Jersey and New York.  Her parents immigrated in 1892.  They were living in Richmond Assembly District 2, Richmond County, NJ.

It looks like Lucy's surname was Copeland (the family is shown on the 1910 Richmond Ward, Richmond Co., New York census).

According to the 1900 Richmond, NY census, Lucy was born in October 1892.

Just to clarify on the draft registration cards - all men of a certain age were required to register for the draft, but it doesn't mean they actually served in the military.
