Hi Folks

can anyone do me a look up for St Johns in Preston please

I have the marriage details for the couple Richard townley Walmsley of Blackburn and Frances (Fanny) Jefferson of wigton Vol 8e page 531

Married Jun 1853 he was awidower and she a spinster

Just need to confirm Parents names and witnesses if possible

Some details of the marriage on www.familysearch.org but no witnesses . Marriage date 20 June 1853. Father of Richard:John WALMSLEY and father of Fanny:William JEFFERSON.

Yeah radcliffe he married three times in all i think.

he must have some kind of super powers as his wives only seem to need a few months from Marriage to birth of first child :D

Will look around for John and Ellen Walmsley (maybe she was a townley??)

I think frances father is William (from wigton) but still need evidence

Fanny is shown as 23 when she married so this must be her christening

I agree she was a replacement for an earlier child

I cannot for the life of me find her in 1851.  I think she may have had an illegitimate child in 1850 in Wigton (Thomas jefferson) but she was not with him in 1851 (he was with his grandparents and and Uncle)

I will keep trying to find her in 1851

In 1851 she is in Blackburn and is indexed as Frances JEPHOSON b 1830 Wigton
