Robins/Catt Marriage
« on: Tuesday 03 January 12 06:01 GMT (UK) »
Seeking help in locating where Stephen Robins and Sarah Catt were married.

Stephen was born about 1819 according to Index of Bounty Immigrants to NSW and Sarah in 1815 as per Family Search. Sarah was born in Salehurst as per Family Search, but I cannot find Stephens birth :(

The Index shows them as married but I cannot find an entry in any of the usual places, ie. Freereg, Family Search.
The Index has them both as residents of Hastings.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Wozzle, Thank you for looking at the one place I did not :-[. I had thought that they were married earlier than that for some reason.

Cathy, thanks for providing the details.
I have been looking at Trove for information in Australia, and it is most confusing as some of the information, notably the Immigrant Index has the name as Robins, as does marriage and baptismal for some of the children, but in the papers as Robens. The only way I could connect the two names was in a funeral notice I was following for someone I knew specific information about. Most confusing :D
The NSW BDM has some of the children as Robins and some as Robens, so more work there :'(

Thanks omega for that baptism information, as it ties up a couple of loose ends there.

With grateful thanks
