Blimey!!!! I have been searching all night... where did you find that?! That explains the photo that said left water loo 15 oct 1920.... Why on earth would she have gone to Buenos aires alone ...Sad thing is she dies their only 8 years later of appendicitis.
Thanks though. Guess they dont have an ancestry in Buenos aires?!  ;)

She died in Argentina on 28 Nov 1928,the probate indexes say she was the wife of Simon Mayer and that she was formerly Snell.

Administration was granted to the said Simon Mayer a merchant.

Effects £120 10s 5d in England.

I would imagine he was already out there and perhsp she went to join him.

I found that passenger list on Find My Past.

It looks like he was born in 1879- as he travelled back out to Buenos Aires in 1923 and 1926,both times from Southampton- it said he was a merchant/buyer.

His address in 1923 was 4 Ardwick Road Hampstead,he travelled alone.

But on 24 Sept 1926 he(age 47) and Marie 38,Alberto 4 and Ines 2 went back out there. The address given was 77 Stapleton Road, Stroud Green W4.

In 1920 she went on the Royal Mail Steam Packet ship the ALMANZORA.

I  asked because we have a post card (blank) of the Alcantara. Wonder why Alberto was called Bobbie! Were the children born in the Uk or Argentina? 77 Stapleton road was her mothers address.

I have to go to bed now,but have just found that Simon and the kids (7 and 3) came back to the UK in 1929.Address given 77 Stapleton Road.
No record of either of them being born here- try http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/

I think that was on the Alcantara?

Will look again tomorrow.......it nearly is tomorrow here  ;D

I can never find anthing on bmd! I cant even find Mayer's birth which you already know about !  :(
