Birkenhead 1950's
« on: Monday 09 January 12 15:39 GMT (UK) »
I am looking to find a photograph of a pub called 'the angel inn' in Birkenhead.  It is no longer there but is where the new conway park train station now is.

It was there in the 1990's but on it's own with all of the surrounding buildings demolished.  My dad was born in the house which joined onto it in 1946, which was in Camden Street.

Anyone know where I might find an old photo?

Regards
sara

It's certainly worth asking if they have a photo of that street etc.  Some of the libraries are amazing in what they have collected and filed away.

Ask away ;D  and let us know how you get on please.

Thank you so much

The pub was on the corner so I wonder which was Camden street.

That could be my dads house on the left of the photo!!
