This is what their home from home looked like.   The 2nd photo states "Lunch time during our longest route March.  Shortly after our arrival ... distance about twelve miles, since then have almost doubled that - Hot as 'ell" Photo is dated June 1941.  Not sure where taken, but my father has his back to camera.    KT have a photo of them all having a day at the races!

Amazing!

The photos I have seen of the Airforce tents they were more square than teepee style.  Great to see, I and LOVE it when they write things on the back.
