The name Dorothea Weale is also used for our Whare Kai at Ngawha, NZ and a great Aunt of mine had the first name of Dorothea in memory of her as well as her middle name Mihiwira(Miss Weale). This story is always told to us as children and will always be told to the future generations to come.

Hi marie scarth,
Thank you for your reply. I am sorry for my slow response - have been very busy and have been meaning to write up here, but thank you very much for your posting.

I have the book you mentioned 'Hariru Wikitoria' and it speaks of the Maori Warrior Chiefs who were in the UK the same time as your ancestor. I believe two of Jenkins group went with them for a spell, but one went back with Jenkins group. I am trying to find out more of the other group.

I will PM you marie and share more.

Thank you so much for sharing this once again.

Hope all is well.
